Undergraduate Students

To be considered for one of the limited number of summer undergraduate trainee positions, you must be:

  •  in the last two years of your program in computer science, electrical or bio-medical engineering, or related fields
  • a registered student at one of McGill, ÉTS, or Université de Sherbrooke over the time you would be participating in CREATE-MIA
  • have the agreement of one of the CREATE-MIA Program Faculty that he/she will supervise you if your application is accepted
  • with the Program Faculty member's assistance, have a potential industrial internship identified

If you meet the above criteria, you should submit a single PDF file to the Program Administrator which  contains:

  • a copy of your transcripts
  • your CV, including whether you are eligible to work/intern off-campus
  • the name of the Program Faculty member
  • a short research statement, including your reasons for wanting to participate in CREATE-MIA
  • a short description of the proposed internship.

before April 1. An acknowledgement email will be sent to you upon receipt of your application material. Should you not receive such an email within 24-48 hours, please contact the Program Administrator.

IMPORTANT: Participation in the CREATE-MIA program will add additional requirements beyond those of a student's program degree, including, but not limited to,  attendance at all "CREATE-MIA Days",  the summer school and, most importantly, an industrial internship.  Students offered a place in the CREATE-MIA program will be asked to sign an acknowledgement of their awareness and understanding of these requirements before being officially accepted into the program.
