The event will take place at the Electrical Engineering conference room (A-2473) in the A building (1100 Notre Dame West). It is located on the 2nd floor. Participants should follow the indications for the Department of Electrical Engineering and go through the main entrance to the department. Room A-2473 will be located around the corner at the end of the hallway on their left.
Schedule
Student participants will form 5 teams of 3-4 people (mostly teams of 4 people, given the estimated number of participants).
9 AM
One Montreal-based team (to be determined) arrives before everyone else to do the first ultrasound image acquisition experiment. This will provide some data for everyone to get started with the hackathon.
9:45 AM
The rest of the participants arrive.
10:00 AM
Short tutorial or Q&A on ultrasound imaging (led by Prof. Laporte) and presentation of the hackathon objectives.
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
The remaining 4 teams will take turns acquiring their ultrasound data (1 hour each) and sharing it with the other teams, while the others work on the hackathon. A cold lunch will be provided part of the way through this exercise.
3:00 PM
Everyone will have acquired their data and the hackathon continues.
4:00 PM
Teams will make 10 minute presentations of what they accomplished during the day
5:00 PM
