Dr. Hervé Lombaert receives Francois Erbsmann Prize at IPMI
Congratulations to Dr. Hervé Lombaert, a post-doctoral fellow at McGill's School of Computer Science, for winning the Francois Erbsmann Prize for the best paper presented by a young scientist making their first oral presentation at IPMI 2013. The paper, entitled ""Towards" DIffeomorphic Spectral Matching of Cortical Surfaces" was co-authored by Prof. Jon Sporring (University of Copenhagen) and Prof. Kaleem Siddiqi (McGill) who is also the Director of CREATE-MIA.
CREATE-MIA Summer School attendees were fortunate to hear Dr. Lombaert give a preview of his winning presentation earlier this summer. Coincidentally, Dr. Maxime Descoteaux (University of Sherbrooke and CREATE-MIA Program Faculty) who led the mini-course on dMRI during the Summer School was an earlier recipient of this prestigious award in 2009.
