Shreyank Gupta

I obtained my undergraduate degree from India (2010) and a master’s degree from Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany (2015).  I have a two years of professional experience in the area of medical signal and image processing.  Currently, I am a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at École de technologie supérieure under the co-supervision of Prof. Catherine Laporte. I am doing my research on improving the image quality for transcranial Doppler ultrasound systems. It is important because some diseases like vasospasm etc. are co-related to the blood flow which requires the accurate measurement of the diameter of vessel from the images. With the current image quality, it is not possible to accurately determine the diameter due to its poor quality and therefore the blood flow.
