Abstract
I will present mathematical models of cardiac fiber geometry, and I will discuss methods for inferring such models from diffusion MRI and from ultrasound image data. I will also present the biological importance of measuring cardiac fiber geometry, and will discuss several different applications in cardiology research.
Biography
Peter Savadjiev is currently Assistant Professor in Diagnostic Radiology at McGill University, as well as an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry and Radiology at Harvard Medical School and an associate member of the McGill School of Computer Science.
He completed his PhD degree in Computer Science at McGill University in 2008, with a focus on medical image analysis algorithms.
