Internships

Internships in industry are an integral part of the CREATE Program in Medical Image Analysis. Internships in an industrial setting give trainees exposure to solving real-world problems in a real-world environment, provide them with invaluable work experience, and allow them to hone their professional skills.

We are working with a number of Montréal area companies, including Rogue Research, NeuroRX, Elekta, Intelerad,  ORS, Clemex, and Imagia , as well as  Imeka (Sherbrooke, QC), Synaptive Medical (Toronto, ON), and True Positive Medical Devices (Québec City, QC), to set up internships appropriate for the CREATE-MIA program.

Undergraduate students

Undergraduate students must complete an internship in industry as part of their 4 month participation in CREATE-MIA. The duration of the internship will be approximately 1 month.

Masters students:

Masters students must spend at least 20% of their time doing industry internships. The total duration of the internships will be approximately 5 months over 2 years of program participation.

Doctoral students:

Doctoral students must spend at least 20% of their time (approx. 8 months over 3 years) in industry.

Post Doctoral Fellows:

The total duration of the internships will be at least 20% of a PDF's time in the program: approximately 5 months over 2 years of program participation.
